Introduction

Spencer is a demonstration of how e-commerce applications can be built from simple, composable services, with an emphasis on scalability, flexibility, "multibility" (multi-tenant, -brand, -channel, -store, etc), and platform independence.

Spencer currently includes the following services:

• Product Feedback Service for retrieving product feedback, including ratings, reviews, and recommendations.
• Product Images Service for retrieving product images.
• Core components for building additional services.

Spencer is being developed by Colin Coller and released by J.T. Leigh & Associates Inc. It's an open-source project released under the GNU General Public License version 2 (GPLv2).
